FaiServe Privacy Policy

CKM InfoTech ("CKM", "we", "us", or "our") operates the FaiServe mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects only the data required to operate field-service workflows on behalf of your employer (the organisation that licenses FaiServe for your use):

• Account information: your name, email address, and the user role assigned to you within your organisation's FaiServe tenant.
• Job and customer data: the work order details, customer addresses, contact phone numbers, and notes that your organisation enters into FaiServe and assigns to you.
• Photos and signatures: images you capture with the device camera and signatures collected on the device, together with the timestamp and approximate GPS coordinates of capture, when you elect to attach them to a job.
• Device location: coarse and fine location data, used only when you actively view the in-app map or capture a photo, in order to centre the map and tag the photo. Location is not collected continuously in the background.
• Device and diagnostic data: device model, operating-system version, app version, and crash logs.
• Push notification token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver job assignments and updates to your device.

2. How We Use Information

We use the data above only to:

• authenticate you against your organisation's FaiServe tenant;
• display the jobs assigned to you, the related customer information, and the route to the job site;
• capture and upload the photos, signatures, and notes you attach to a job back to your organisation's FaiServe server;
• deliver in-app notifications about new or updated jobs;
• diagnose crashes and improve App reliability.

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Camera and Photos Permission

The App requests access to your device camera and photo library solely for the purpose of letting you attach a photo to a job (e.g. before/after pictures of work performed). Photos taken in the App are uploaded to your organisation's FaiServe server and are not shared with CKM InfoTech for any other purpose.

4. Location Permission

The App uses your device's location for three purposes:

• Map centring and photo tagging. When you open the in-app map or capture a photo, the App reads your current location to centre the map and embed approximate coordinates into the photo metadata so your manager can verify on-site visits.
• Live location sharing while travelling to a job. When you start a route to an assigned job, the App enters a "travelling" state and streams your device GPS to your organisation's FaiServe server approximately every 30 seconds. Your manager and the assigned customer can view this live position so they can track your ETA. A persistent notification on your device informs you while this is active. Streaming stops automatically when you mark arrival on site, when you stop the job, or after 90 minutes — whichever happens first. Streaming does not occur for jobs you have not started.
• Background operation while travelling. On Android, the live-location stream runs as a foreground service so it continues while you switch to a navigation app (Google Maps, Waze). On iOS, background location updates are enabled for the same reason. The persistent notification (Android) and the system background-location indicator (iOS) make this operation visible to you at all times.

The App does not collect location for any other purpose, and does not stream your position when no job is in the "travelling" state.

5. Data Storage and Sharing

Data captured by the App is uploaded to your organisation's FaiServe server, which is hosted by your organisation or by a hosting provider it has chosen. CKM InfoTech does not host the data and does not have routine access to it. Limited diagnostic data (crash logs, anonymised app-usage events) may be processed by Google Firebase services (Analytics for Firebase, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) on our behalf in accordance with Google's terms.

6. Data Retention

Job, photo, and signature data is retained on your organisation's FaiServe server for as long as your organisation determines is appropriate; please contact your organisation's administrator regarding their retention policy. Authentication tokens stored on the device are deleted when you log out or uninstall the App.

7. Children's Privacy

FaiServe is intended for use by adult workers in a professional field-service setting. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

8. Your Rights

Because CKM InfoTech does not control the data collected through your organisation's FaiServe tenant, requests to access, correct, or delete your data should be directed to your organisation's FaiServe administrator. For requests directed to CKM InfoTech (for example, regarding diagnostic data we receive via Firebase), contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
